Indiana Sweeps Weekly Men’s Indoor Track & Field Awards

Hoosiers’ Eric Bethea and Cooper Williams are this week’s honorees

 

Men’s Track Athlete of the Week

Cooper Williams, Indiana

So. – West Lafayette, Ind. – West Lafayette

• Took top honors in the mile run at the Indiana vs. Tennessee Duals on Jan. 5, winning in a personal-best time of 4:04.55, which also stands as the fastest time in the nation this year by nearly three seconds

• Also led the Hoosiers’ 4×400 relay squad to victory at the dual meet in a time of 3:13.53, the ninth-quickest time in the nation this season

• Named an Academic All-Big Ten selection in 2017-18

• Earns his first career Indoor Track Athlete of the Week award

• Last Indiana Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week: Rikkoi Brathwaite (Dec. 12, 2018)
