Indiana Coasts In Exhibition Tune-Up

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana women’s basketball shot over 50 percent on the night as it made its way past the Missouri S&T Miners, 100-32, on Monday night inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall.

KEY MOMENTS
• Indiana went 6-of-8 from the field in the top half of the first quarter as redshirt sophomore guard Lenée Beaumont led the way with eight points in the frame.
• In the second, Ciezki scored nine of her 12 first half points as she combined with sophomore guard Valentyna Kadlecova (eight points) and freshman guard Nevaeh Caffey to break the lead open 47-19 at the break.
• It was all Hoosiers in the second half, allowing just 13 second-half points to the Miners as 10 players scored buckets in the exhibition tune-up.
NOTABLE
• Ciezki led the way with 21 points, going 8-for-13 from the floor while Beaumont chipped in double figures with 11
• Indiana shot 52% from the floor and added 15 3-pointers (43 percent) while producing 34 points off turnovers.
• As a team, IU 21 assists to just 10 turnovers with Caffey and Beaumont leading the way with 5 each.
• Freshman forward Maya Makalusky finished the night as the third-leading scorer with 11 points, and tied freshman forward Zania Socka-Nguemen with nine rebounds.
• The Hoosiers’ bench scored 38 points against Missouri S&T while all available players saw action in the contest.
