INDIANA WESLEYAN TAKES DOWN HUNTINGTON TO CLAIM CROSSROADS LEAGUE TITLE
\HUNTINGTON, IND. – Indiana Wesleyan baseball defeated Huntington 6-5 in a thrilling game on Tuesday, claiming the Crossroads League title for the second time in three years. The Wildcats led by two most of they way, but the Foresters tied the game in the bottom of the 8th and forced extra innings where IWU prevailed. The victory secures an automatic bid for the NAIA National Tournament.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
Lucas Goodin got the game started with a lead off homerun. Ty Mathews drove in Nick Wiley to give the Wildcats a 2-0 lead in the 1st.
Huntington scored 1 run in the 1st and tied the game up with a run in the 3rd.
Bryce Ginder pinch hit in the 4th and his single scored Mathews to give IWU the lead. Jeff Morton scored on a wild pitch, extending the lead back to 2.
Huntington got 1 run back in 7th via a walk with bases loaded.
Colby Jenkins homered to left field in 8th to keep the WIldcat lead at 2.
A 2 run single in the 8th by the Foresters tied the game at 5 and forced extra innings.
In the 10th Evan Salmon singled down the third base line to score Caleb Engelsman and put IWU back on top.
Hunter Hoffman earned the win on the mound, coming in relief for the third straight game. He struck out 2, gave up 3 hits, and 1 run before making the game saving play to throw the last batter out at first.
