ISUB Women’s Volleyball falls at Aquinas Invite

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (1-13, 1-2 CCAC) dropped both games of a doubleheader to conclude the Aquinas Invitational. IUSB fell to Mount Vernon Nazarene University by scores of 19-25, 15-25, 14-25 before dropping game two to Cornerstone University by scores of 22-25, 25-18, 17-25, 16-25.

In match one, the IU South Bend offense was led by Madison Figg, Abby Seeger, and Ryleigh Grott who all finished with six kills with Grott posting a team high .333 hitting percentage.

Sophomore setter Emma Knowlton led the Titans passing game, finishing with 19 assists.

In match two, the IU South Bend offense featured four different players who finished with at least eight kills, led by Macy Sherman who finished with a team high nine kills.

Freshman Brynn Lake posted a career high of 37 assists in the four set loss to Cornerstone.

The Titans defense featured four players who finished with double digit digs, led by sophomore defensive specialist Sydney Hanna who finished with a game high 29 digs.

The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Tuesday, September 12th, when they host the Lakers of Roosevelt University at 7:00 PM in the Student Activities Center, looking to even their CCAC record to 2-2.
