IUSB Men’s Basketball defeats Manchester 94-66 to begin season

SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (1-0, 0-0 CCAC) defeated the Manchester University Spartans 94-66 to begin the 2022-2023 season.

In his first game as a Titan, Dejon Barney posted a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds in just 26 minutes of action. Barney shot 90% from the field and also added two blocks and a steal in his IU South Bend Debut.

Top returning scorer Donyell Meredith II began the new season with a bang, scoring 22 points and securing eight rebounds in the season opener.

Senior guard Kenny Washington did a little bit of everything as he notched 10 points, collected five rebounds, and dished out four assists.

The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action with another non-conference game as they take on Rockford University on Saturday, October 29th, at 3:00 in the Student Activities Center.
