Home Win Moves Streak to 11
SOUTH BEND — IU South Bend continued its dominant stretch on a wintery Wednesday night, rolling past Judson 82-55 inside the Student Activities Center to extend its winning streak to 11 games.
From the opening minutes, the Titans set the tone with a patient offensive approach and consistent team defense. IU South Bend held Judson to just 27.3 percent shooting in the first half, steadily building separation behind balanced scoring and strong rebounding. The Titans led 39-21 at the break and never allowed the Eagles to threaten the margin.
IUSB maintained control throughout the second half, pushing the lead past 30 midway through the period while continuing to share the ball and limit second-chance opportunities. The Titans finished the game shooting 50.8 percent from the field and 47.4 percent from three-point range, while holding Judson to 36.1 percent overall shooting.
Andrew Hedgepeth led the way in the long range attack, sinking four three-pointers on five attempts, helping him lead the team with 16 points on the night. The team as a whole drained nine triples on 19 shots from beyond the arc.
James Stevenson and Ethan Hill anchored the performance around the paint with double-doubles. Stevenson finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds, adding four steals and providing energy on both ends. Hill posted 11 points and 10 rebounds, controlling the glass and finishing efficiently around the rim.
Other key contributors were Mark White with 11 points and eight rebounds, Collin Schmidt with nine points, and AJ Dunn with seven off the bench.
IU South Bend dominated the rebounding battle 48-27, outscored Judson 13-2 in second-chance points, and received 38 points from its bench.
With the victory, IU South Bend improved to 13-4 overall and 8-1 in CCAC play and will look to carry the momentum forward into a road matchup on Saturday at Olivet Nazarene at 4:00 pm.
