SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (4-4, 1-0 CCAC) defeated the Holy Cross College Saints (3-5, 1-1 CCAC) by a final score of 65-49.

A low scoring affair saw IU South Bend and Holy Cross trading baskets throughout the duration of the first half all the way to a 31-31 tie heading into halftime.

Trailing 40-36 early in the second half, the Titans went on a 20-6 run to open up a 15 point lead with less than five minutes remaining to play.

A late push by the Saints was not enough to outlast IU South Bend as the Titans went on to win by a final score of 65-49.

Tuesday’s defensive battle featured just three players to score in double figures, all being IUSB Titans.

Jylen Petty, Nick Mullen and Shawn Brown all tied for the game high with 10 points.

Jylen Petty shot 50% from the field while Shawn Brown shot 6-7 from the free throw line and also recorded two blocks and two steals.

Junior forward Nick Mullen recorded his third double-double of the season, finishing with a stat line of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Wednesday, December 4th, when they travel to Gary, Ind., to take on the Indiana University Northwest RedHawks at 8:00 PM in a rematch of last year’s CCAC Tournament Championship
