Midweek Victory over Moody
SOUTH BEND — IU South Bend took care of business on Wednesday night, rolling to a 106-51 victory over Moody Bible at the Student Activities Center. A 10-0 run six minutes into the game put the Titans ahead for good, as they cruised to their fifth win of 2025.
Nearly the entire roster saw the floor, and five Titans finished in double figures as the team hit the 100-point mark for the second time this year. IU South Bend shot 60.3 percent from the field, dominated the paint with a 64-22 scoring advantage, and forced 18 turnovers that led to 25 points.
James Stevenson delivered a season-high 18 points, shooting 9-for-11 from the floor and providing an energy boost on both ends. CJ Hornbeak added 18 points of his own on 8-of-9 shooting, while Mark White (14), Collin Schmidt (13), and Chris Hurt (11) rounded out the Titans’ double-digit scorers.
A highlight of the night came late, when Imon Cousins scored his first career point as a Titan, knocking down a free throw in the closing minutes to cap the team’s offensive outburst.
IU South Bend’s bench contributed 46 points, with big nights from Stevenson, Hurt, and Justin Parks. In total, 11 Titans made the scoring column as the team continued to build momentum in non-conference play.
The Titans return to CCAC action later this week as they look to extend their strong December stretch against Holy Cross at home on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
