MELBOURNE, Fla.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (4-12, 0-0 CCAC) fell in both games of their doubleheader, dropping game one 1-0 to Missouri Baptist (8-5) before losing game to Saint Francis (7-6) by a final score of 6-1.

Game 1

Outhitting the Spartans in game one, IU South Bend saw their best chance to score when Jozie Ramer led off the top of the sixth with a single and advanced all the way to third base before being stranded, leaving the game tied at 0-0.

The Titans could not score in the seventh setting the stage for a walk off off single to take game one by a final score of 1-0.

Once again, right handed pitcher Abigail Yarnell received the tough luck loss, pitching the entire game while allowing just three hits and no earned runs.

Game 2

Game two remained scoreless until the fourth inning when the Titans broke the scoreless tie thanks to an RBI single from third baseman Leah Dawson that scored Aubrey Gearhart to give IUSB a 1-0 lead.

The Saint Francis Cougars answered with five runs on three hits in the sixth inning to take a 5-1 lead.

Saint Francis added one more insurance run in the seventh and the Titans were unable to score for the remainder of the game, ultimately dropping game two of the doubleheader by a final score of 6-1.

The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Tuesday, March 12th, with another doubleheader. Game one starts at 10:00 AM followed shortly by game two at 12:15 PM.
