LAKEVILLE, Ind. – The IU South Bend defense allowed the second-fewest shots on the season, but the Titans were ultimately unable to keep pace with the visiting Trinity International Trojans, falling 10-0 on Wednesday night at Newton Field.
The Titans (0-10, 0-7 CCAC) found themselves trailing early, after a goal in the fourth minute put the visitors in front, 1-0. IUSB worked the ball into the attacking third in response, with Rebekkaha Guess firing a shot on target in the 13th minute that was blocked.
Trinity International pulled away with five more goals in the first half, and another four after the break.
Kaitlyn Paul recorded four saves on the night for the Titans.
IU South Bend are back in action on Saturday, October 9, when they host Saint Xavier. Kickoff from Newton Park is set for noon.
