LAKEVILLE, Ind.- The Indiana University South Bend Titans (3-7-1, 0-5-0 CCAC) fell to the Indiana University Northwest RedHawks (3-3-4, 2-3 CCAC) by a score of 2-0.
IU Northwest defender Kelly Landry got the scoring started for the RedHawks when she snuck a shot past IU South Bend goalkeeper Rylee Cotton to give IUN a 1-0 lead.
Later in the game, IU Northwest midfielder Kelly Shafer found the back of the net to extend the RedHawks lead to 2-0.
Four different IU South Bend Titans fired shots on goal that were ultimately rejected by IUN goalkeeper Isabell Escalera.
The IU South Bend offense was led by senior Katie Jones who finished with a team high four shots.
Titans goalkeeper Rylee Cotton saved seven shots in Saturday’s contest while allowing just two goals in her 90 minutes of play.
The Indiana University South Bend Titans return to action on Tuesday, October 3rd, when they host the Lakers of Roosevelt University at 5:00 PM at Newton Park.
