In the women’s standings, the two schools tied for first with 87.0 points, while IWU drew even in the overall standings with 10 points in coed competitive cheer, with MU picking up 8.5 points.
“We are thankful for another year of outstanding competition in what I believe is one of the very best leagues in the NAIA,” stated Indiana Wesleyan Director of Athletics Deane Webb. “We’re thankful for not only the competition we get to face very day in our league, but also the relationships and fellowship that we share with so many like-minded missional institutions.”
“I am so proud of all of our teams this year for their efforts, as we truly had a terrific year,” remarked Marian Director of Athletics Steve Downing. “To win in our league is extremely difficult, and to bring home a share of the All-Sports Trophy is a proud accomplishment for our athletics department”
In all, the two programs combined to win CL Championships in 11 of the league’s 20 sports during the 2024-2025 year, with Marian claiming 10 total championships and Indiana Wesleyan picking up six regular season and tourney titles.
Indiana Wesleyan took home regular season Crossroads League Championships in the sports of volleyball, women’s basketball, competitive cheer and softball, while adding CL Tournament Championships in volleyball and women’s basketball during the 2024-2025 year.
Marian countered with regular season titles in the sports of men’s and women’s indoor track and field, men’s bowling, softball, men’s golf and men’s and women’s outdoor track and field. MU also secured CL Tournament Championships in men’s and women’s bowling and softball.
Points for the Crossroads League All-Sports Championship are awarded based on each team’s finish in the regular season standings, or for a team’s finish at the league championship event for the sports of cross country, golf, competitive cheer and indoor and outdoor track and field. A first-place finish earns 10 points, with nine points for second, eight for third and so on, until each team is given a point value.
