IWU WBB holds of Grace in OT

MARION, Ind. – In opening round play of the Crossroads League Tournament, Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball fended off a pesky Grace College squad, 81-74 in overtime. The back-and-forth contest featured 48 total bench points between both teams with IWU edging out GC 30 to 28.

 

1,000 POINTS

Senior Nicole Ignasiak scored her 1000th point Tuesday, becoming the 29th player to accomplish this in Wildcat history. Also making her 100th career appearance Tuesday, Ignasiak has grabbed a total of 564 rebounds in her career, good for top-20 in Wildcat history.

 

ALL-SQUARE

Headed into the half, it was all square at 33 with both teams shooting over 40% from the field. IWU led the charge from behind the arc shooting 35%, making five while Grace shot 30% making just three. IWU edged GC on the board grabbing 21 while GC grabbed 18.

 

 

NEXT TIME OUT

Indiana Wesleyan heads to No. 2 seed Marian University Friday for a 7 p.m. tip.
