IWU’s Mangas Highlights Four Academic All-American Honors for CL Hoops

AUSTIN, Texas – Indiana Wesleyan’s Kyle Mangas was named the 2020-2021 CoSIDA NAIA Men’s Basketball Academic All-American of the Year, as the Crossroads League collected four CoSIDA Academic All-American honors in men’s and women’s basketball.

Mangas was joined as a First-Team Academic All-American by Jevon Knox of Mount Vernon Nazarene, with Taylor’s Vincent Miranda earning Second-Team honors to help the Crossroads League secure three-of-11 spots on the CoSIDA NAIA Men’s Basketball All-American Team.

MVNU also picked up the CL’s lone honor on the women’s side, with Taylor Gregory earning Second-Team Academic All-American recognition.

CoSIDA Academic All-America honors are voted on by CoSIDA members from around the nation. To be eligible for the prestigious honor, student-athletes must be selected as First-Team Academic All-District recipients, after being nominated by their Sports Information Department.
