KEATON ALBERT TO HEAD UP HUNTINGTON UNIVERSITY WOMEN’S SOCCER
Huntington University is excited to announce the appointment of Keaton Albert as the new head coach of the women’s soccer program. Albert becomes the ninth head coach in the team’s history since the program’s inception in 1997.

Athletic Director Lori Culler expressed her enthusiasm for the new addition, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Coach Albert as the new head coach of our women’s soccer program. His passion for the game, commitment to developing student-athletes, and dedication to our mission of Christ, Scholarship, and Service make him a great addition to our staff. We are excited to see how he will lead our team both on and off the field in fostering a culture of faith, excellence, and teamwork.”

Albert joins the Forester coaching ranks after a successful six-year tenure as an assistant coach and the recruiting coordinator for the men’s soccer program at Indiana Wesleyan University. During his time with the Wildcats, he played an integral role in player development and recruitment, contributing to the program’s sustained success.

Prior to his coaching career at IWU, Albert served as the Pre-Academy Coach for North Carolina Football Club Youth with a focus on player growth and foundational skill development.

“I’m privileged to join Huntington athletics as the head women’s soccer coach and to work with a solid group of ladies,” said Coach Albert. “I’m thankful for all the support I’ve already received from the HU athletic family.

“With the program’s academic, spiritual and relational success, I’m motivated to join arms with my players to achieve and gain new outcomes in competition, trailblaze new paths and ideas and build intentional team culture.”

A former standout player himself, Albert is no stranger to the Crossroads League, having played for IWU from 2012 to 2015. During his collegiate career, he made over 80 appearances, tallying an impressive 26 goals and 26 assists for a total of 78 points.

Albert was a pivotal part of three Crossroads League Championship teams and earned numerous accolades, highlighted by being named the 2015 Crossroads League Player of the Year and the 2014 Crossroads League Offensive Player of the Year. He was also a two-time NAIA and NCCAA All-American during his time in red and gray while also garnering four All-League praises and four NAIA Scholar Athlete accolades.

Albert’s appointment signals a new chapter for the women’s soccer program, bringing his extensive playing experience and coaching expertise to the forefront. The Forester community eagerly anticipates the upcoming season under his leadership.
