Kiandra Browne Joins Indiana Women’s Basketball

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana Women’s Basketball has announced the addition of Kiandra Browne to the 2020-21 roster.

Browne, 6-foot-2 forward from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is rated as the No. 75 player by ESPN and No. 13 at her position and the No. 2 player in Canada by Crown Scout Girls. She is a member of Canada’s U18 National Team where she participated in the 2018 FIBA U18 Championships in Mexico City where the team won the silver medal.

“We are very excited to add Kiandra to our program,” Indiana head coach Teri Moren said. “She is a talented player who has had a lot of international success and has the ability to play multiple positions. She is a tough, hard-nosed player who fits into our culture. Kiandra is a wonderful young lady and we are looking forward to her career as a Hoosier.”

Most recently, she spent the 2019-20 season at Winston-Salem Christian in Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she was a McDonalds All-American nominee and the team’s leading scorer. In addition, Browne was also a team member of the gold medal winning team at the 2017 Canada Summer Games where she averaged 23.0 minutes per game, 9.6 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game.
