FABULOUS FIVE

  1. Concord (9-0): Derek Gomez had a 60-yard interception return for a score as the top-ranked (Class 5A) Minutemen earned their first unbeaten regular season since 2010 with a 42-14 win at Plymouth.
  2. Elkhart (8-1): Anthony Leonard returned a fumble for a touchdown, helping the No. 7 (Class 6A) Lions claim the outright Northern Indiana Conference title with a 55-14 win over Adams.
  3. Mishawaka (7-2): Carson Francis ran twice for 107 yards with a touchdown in the No. 6 (Class 4A) Cavemen’s 46-7 win at Wawasee.
  4. Penn (7-2): Brody Cashen threw for 62 yards with a touchdown in the Kingsmen’s 27-0 win over Saint Joseph.
  5. Warsaw (6-3): Tucker Reed returned a pair of 88-yard kickoff returns for scores in the Tigers’ 42-13 win over Northridge.

HONORABLE MENTION

Bremen (5-4): Carson Anderson accounted for 101 yards on the ground with a touchdown in the Lions’ 24-10 win over Tippecanoe Valley.

Jimtown (6-3): Mason Armstrong went 10-of-13 for 189 yards with three scores in the Jimmies’ 44-34 win at Lakeland.

Knox (6-3): Izak Singleton accounted for a touchdown in the Redskins’ 61-6 win over Bowman Academy.

New Prairie (6-3): Reed Robinson was 6-of-9 for 154 yards with four touchdowns in the Cougars’ 52-8 win over Washington.

Saint Joseph (5-4): Brayson Hurley ran twice for 19 yards for the Huskies against Penn.

GETTING BETTER

Marian (4-5): Brian Osman scampered 18 times for 148 yards with two touchdowns in the Knights’ 21-7 win over Riley.

NorthWood (4-5): Braylon Monroe completed 9-of-16 for 145 yards with two scores and carried the ball twice for 20 yards with a touchdown in the Panthers’ 42-0 win against Goshen.

LaVille (4-5): Cole Stafford raced 29 times for 255 yards with five touchdowns, had two receptions for 35 yards, and intercepted a pass in the Lancers’ 55-20 win over Whiting.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Adams (2-7): Carson Bryce raced 20 times for 97 yards with a score for the Eagles against Elkhart.

Glenn (1-7): With their 48-7 setback to Culver Academy, the Falcons have now dropped seven straight contests.

Goshen (0-9): Carter Diaz went 20-of-30 for 160 yards for the RedHawks against NorthWood.

Northridge (3-6): Hayden Gorball returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown for the Raiders against Warsaw.

Plymouth (5-4): Exzander Ramirez was 13-of-23 for 158 yards and ran 14 times for 69 yards with a touchdown for the Rockies against Concord.

Riley (2-6): Karon Miller had a one-yard touchdown run for the Wildcats against Marian.

Tippecanoe Valley (6-3): Hunter Stage completed 11-of-27 for 164 yards for the Vikings against Bremen.

Washington (0-9): Tehran Parker came up with a two-yard scoring run for the Panthers against New Prairie.

Wawasee (1-8); Jaylen Lowery hauled in a 21-yard touchdown pass for the Warriors against Mishawaka.

LOOKING FORWARD

Calumet (5-4) at Marian (4-5) (Class 3A Sectional 25): The Warriors are looking to halt a seven-game losing streak to Marian.

Knox (6-3) at River Forest (5-4) (Class 3A Sectional 25): The Redskins have won four of the previous five meetings against River Forest.

Mishawaka (7-2) at Northridge (3-6) (Class 4A Sectional 18): The Cavemen are going for their sixth straight win over Northridge.

West Central (6-3) at LaVille (4-5) (Class 1A Sectional 41): The Trojans will try to halt a five-game losing streak against LaVille.

Woodlan (5-4) at Tippecanoe Valley (6-3) (Class 3A Sectional 26): The Warriors earned a 14-7 win over Tippecanoe Valley during the 1981 campaign.
