FABULOUS FIVE

  1. Mishawaka (2-0): Josh Sandy recorded two receptions for 62 yards with two touchdowns in the No, 4 (Class 4A) Cavemen’s 27-7 win over No. 10 (Class 6A) Penn.
  2. Concord (2-0): Reese Breveard hauled in nine passes for 181 yards with three touchdowns in the Minutemen’s 49-28 win over Jimtown.
  3. New Prairie (2-0): Reed Robinson went 4-of-7 for 111 yards with a touchdown and ran five times for 57 yards with a score in the No. 3 (Class 4A) Cougars’ 56-0 win at Goshen.
  4. Penn (1-1): Malachi Evans rambled eight times for 26 yards with a score for the Kingsmen against Mishawaka.
  5. Tippecanoe Valley (2-0): Brandon Stiles accounted for 10 rushes for 49 yards with two touchdowns in the No. 8 (Class 3A) Vikings’ 22-12 win over Rochester.

HONORABLE MENTION

Knox (1-1): Jake Conroy mustered 127 yards on the ground and two scores in the No. 8 (Class 3A) Redskins’ 57-6 win over Pioneer.

NorthWood (1-1): Dominic DeFreitas converted field goals of 32, 42, and 27 yards in the No. 7 (Class 4A) Panthers’ 19-16 loss to Portage.

Riley (1-0): Phoenyx Clark raced 14 yards for a score for the Wildcats against Fort Wayne Wayne before the contest was cancelled because of inclement weather.

Saint Joseph (1-1): Brayson Hurley hauled in three touchdowns passes in the Huskies’ 21-9 win against Fort Wayne South.

Warsaw (1-1): Drew Sullivan amassed 18 yards on the ground in the No. 4 (Class 5A) Tigers’ 34=-0 loss at No. 4 (Class 6A) Warren Central.

GETTING BETTER

Bremen (1-1): Tyrus Graverson tallied four catches for 33 yards with a touchdown and a pair of interceptions in the Lions’ 21-3 win over No. 6 (Class 1A) Triton.

Elkhart (1-1): Londyn Johnson registered a program-best three interceptions, including one returned 60 yards for a touchdown, in the Lions’ 21-6 win over Northridge.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Adams (0-2): Quincy To’oto’o recorded 11 tackles as well as three catches for 23 yards with a touchdown in the Eagles’ 48-24 loss to Logansport.

Glenn (1-1): Brayden Benwell scored a one-yard touchdown in the Falcons’ 48-8 loss to Edwardsburg.

Goshen (0-2): Jazic Clevenger ran nine times for 13 yards for the RedHawks against New Prairie.

Jimtown (0-2): Javen Jackson scampered 73 yards for a score for the Jimmies against Concord.

LaVille (0-2): Xzavian LaFave returned a kickoff 78 yards for a score in the Lancers’ 32-8 loss to No.2 (Class 1A) North Judson.

Marian (0-2): Braxton Brooks hauled in a 30-yard touchdown pass in the Knights’ 28-24 loss to Culver Academy.

Northridge (0-2): Parker Janes raced 12 times for 103 yards with a touchdown for the Raiders against Elkhart.

Plymouth (1-1): Exzander Ramirez rambled 80 yards for a score in the Rockies’ 42-13 loss to Columbia City.

Washington (0-1): Gabe Weber tossed a pair of touchdown passes in the Panthers’ 28-18 loss to New Albany.

Wawasee (0-2); Konnor Sharp accounted for the Warriors’ lone touchdown in the Warriors’ 55=6 loss to West Noble.

LOOKING FORWARD

Knox (1-1) at Culver Academy (2-0): The Redskins are looking to halt a two-game losing streak to Culver Academy.

Mishawaka (2-0) at Concord (2-0): The Cavemen have won the previous four meetings against Concord.

Northridge (0-2) at Plymouth (1-1): The Raiders have taken seven of the previous 10 meetings with Plymouth.

Penn (1-1) at Riley (1-0): This is the first meeting between the two clubs since the 2014 campaign.

Saint Joseph (1-1) at New Prairie (2-0): The Cougars are in pursuit of their seventh straight win over Saint Joseph.
