  1. Mishawaka (1-0): Landon Snyder scampered nine times for 170 yards and four touchdowns in the No. (Class 4A) Cavemen’s 35-7 win over Marian.
  2. Concord (1-0): Bo Brunner threw three touchdown passes and ran for another tally in the No. (Class 5A) Minutemen’s 35-29 win at Elkhart.
  3. Warsaw (1-0): Brody Duncan’s finished with 57 yards, including a five-yard romp into the end zone with 1:39 left, to lift the No. (Class 5A) Tigers to 38-30 win over Fort Wayne Snider.
  4. Penn (1-0): Colden Hernandez had a 74-yard touchdown run, two interceptions, and blocked an extra-point in the Kingsmen’s 21-13 win at Valparaiso.
  5. Knox (1-0): Myles McLaughlin exploded for 190 yards on the ground with two touchdowns and threw for another score in the Redskins’ 38-6 win over North Judson.

HONORABLE MENTION

Adams (1-0): John Bond returned an interception 20 yards for a score in the Eagles’ 35-7 win over Culver Academy.

Glenn (1-0): Archer Rust tossed touchdown passes of 11 yards and three yards and ran 55 yards and 25 yards in the Falcons’ 43-0 blanking of Boone Grove.

LaVille (1-0): Brayden Schwitz went 10-of-20 for 163 yards with three touchdowns in the Lancers’ 28-0 blanking of Triton.

Saint Joseph (1-0): Anthony Gubi recorded a touchdown pass and run in the Huskies’ 36-6 win over Lakeland.

Tippecanoe Valley (1-0): Gage Overbey connected on a pair of program-best 48-yard field goals in the Vikings’ 20-3 win at Plymouth.

MAKING PROGRESS

Riley (1-0): Tyler Pflugner connected on three extra-points in the Wildcats’ 35-0 triumph over Hammond Bishop Noll.

Washington (1-0): Jaydon Lineberry came up with an interception in the Panthers’ 31-0 blanking of Hammond Central.

Wawasee (1-0): Cash Walter’s 26-yard field goal in the fourth quarter was the difference in the Warriors’ 10-9 win over Jimtown.

NEEDS SOME WORK

Bremen (0-1): Brayden Pearish accounted for the Lions’ lone score in their 36-7 loss to Churubusco.

Elkhart (0-1): Alfonzo Newbern raced 71 yards for a touchdown for the Lions against Elkhart.

Goshen (0-1): Colton Rapp came up with three catches for 52 yards with a score in the RedHawks’ 30-23 loss against Fairfield.

Jimtown (0-1): Owen Glass accounted for a two-yard touchdown for the Jimmies against Wawasee.

Marian (0-1): Parker Mrozinski had a 31-yard scoring run for the Knights against Mishawaka.

New Prairie (0-1): Noah Oberle registered nine carries for 56 yards with a score in the Cougars’ 32-14 loss at LaPorte.

Northridge (0-1): Karsyn Rumfelt tossed for 228 yards and ran for 26 yards with a touchdown in the Raiders’ 21-7 loss at Fort Wayne North.

NorthWood (0-1): Deondray Monroe’s seven receptions for 114 yards with a score were not enough in the Panthers’ 27-24 loss to Columbia City.

Plymouth (0-1): Carlos Carrillo drilled a 25-yard field goal for the Rockies against Tippecanoe Valley.

STAY TUNED

Adams (1-0) at Logansport (1-0): The Eagles’ last 2-0 start came in 2020, while Logansport is trying to open the season with two straight wins for the second year in a row.

Fairfield (1-0) at Glenn (1-0): The Falcons and Glenn are both going for their first 2-0 start since 2022.

Jimtown (0-1) vs. Concord (1-0) (Elkhart’s Rice Field): The Jimmies are looking to halt a six-game losing streak to Concord.

Mishawaka (1-0) at Penn (1-0): The Cavemen have dropped six of the previous eight meetings against Penn.

NorthWood (0-1) at New Prairie (0-1): The Panthers are trying to avoid their first 0-2 start since 2012, while New Prairie has not opened a season with two straight losses since 2011.

Warren Central (0-1) at Warsaw (1-0): The Warriors have not started 0-2 since 2023, while Warsaw’s last 2-0 opening came in 2023.
