FABULOUS FIVE

  1. Concord (2-0): Reese Breveard ran 17 times for 168 yards with four touchdowns and caught five passes for 59 yards in the No. 7 (Class 5A) Minutemen’s 41-13 win over Jimtown.
  2. Penn (2-0): Brayson Hurley caught six passes for 74 yards and ran nine yards for a score in the No. 10 (Class 6A) Kingsmen’s 28-22 win over No. 3 (Class 4A) Mishawaka.
  3. Mishawaka (1-1): Carson Francis had eight rushes for 54 yards for the Cavemen against Penn.
  4. Warsaw (1-1): Daylon Fitzpatrick accounted for a two-yard touchdown in the No. 6 (Class 5A) Tigers’ 28-14 loss to Warren Central.
  5. Knox (2-0): Ashton Walker had a 10-yard romp for a score in the No. 6 (Class 3A) Redskins’ 38-20 win over No. 10 (Class 1A) Pioneer.

HONORABLE MENTION

Elkhart (1-1): Micah Jarrell had scoring runs of nine yards and six yards in the Lions’ 17-7 win over Northridge.

NorthWood (1-1): Brady Weaver scampered eight times for 129 yards with two touchdowns in the Panthers’ 51-14 win over New Prairie.

Riley (2-0): Nick Washington tossed a 16-yard touchdown pass and raced for two more scores in the Wildcats’ 33-6 win over Fort Wayne Wayne.

Saint Joseph (2-0): Dallas Downey registered a pair of touchdown receptions in the Huskies’ 26-0 win at Fort Wayne South.

Tippecanoe Valley (2-0): Wes Parker ended with eight carries for 60 as the Vikings retained possession of “The Bell” with a 7-2 win at Rochester.

MAKING PROGRESS

Goshen (1-1): Spencer Elliott recorded 11 catches for 126 yards with a score in the RedHawks’ 38-21 win over Washington to snap a 14-game losing streak.

Marian (1-1): Lucas Marr tallied a five-yard touchdown run in the Knights’ 21-14 win over Culver Academy.

NEEDS SOME WORK

Adams (1-1): Carson Bryce rambled 21 times for 75 yards with a score in the Eagles’ 54-6 loss to Logansport.

Bremen (0-2): Jack Wildauer was 8-of-18 for 60 yards and also tallied 10 tackles in the Lions’ 14-0 loss to Triton.

Glenn (1-1): Austin Pranger scampered 30 yards for a touchdown in the Falcons’ 38-20 loss to Fairfield.

Jimtown (0-2): Chase Coughenour finished with 10 carries for 90 yards for the Jimmies against Concord.

LaVille (1-1): Konnor Amor caught an 80-yard touchdown pass and returned a fumble 80 yards for another score in the Lancers’ 21-14 loss to No. 9 (Class 1A) North Judson.

New Prairie (0-2): Colter Smith came up with 10 rushes for 59 yards for the Cougars against NorthWood.

Northridge (0-2): Tre Copeland caught a 29-yard touchdown pass for the Raiders against Elkhart.

Plymouth (0-2): Finn Holm raced 15 times for 117 yards with a score in the Rockies’ 35-13 loss to No. 7 (Class 4A) Columbia City.

Washington (1-1): Elijah Young went 16-of-29 for 193 yards with three touchdowns for the Panthers against Goshen.

Wawasee (1-1): Kaden Andrew hauled in an 85-yard pass for a score in the Warriors’ 35-19 loss to No. 10 (Class 3A) West Noble.

STAY TUNED

Adams (1-1) at Marian (1-1): The Eagles are looking to halt a seven-game losing streak to Marin.

Concord (2-0) at Mishawaka (1-1): The Cavemen have taken five of the previous seven meetings against Concord.

Elkhart (1-1) at Washington (1-1): In their last three contests, the Lions have outscored Washington, 167-6.

Riley (2-0) at Penn (2-0): The Wildcats have not posted a win over Penn since an 18-0 triumph in 1980.

New Prairie (0-2) at Saint Joseph (2-0): The Cougars’ last 0-3 start came in 2011, while Saint Joseph is going for its first 3-0 opening since 2018.
