Lady Chargers back in the Win Column

East Peoria, IL – The Ancilla College women’s basketball team got back on the winning track Saturday with a 56-51 win over Danville Area Community College (1-4) at the Illinois Central Tournament. The Lady Chargers (2-1) split their two games in the tournament.

Emily Jakes (Delphi) and Camryn Kopka (Winamac) led Ancilla with 12 points each. LaRae Rascoe (Indianapolis) chipped in 10 points and Talia Bee (Valparaiso) added nine. Jaela Meister (Bourbon) pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.

Ancilla is back on the road Wednesday when they travel to Champaign, IL to play 3-1 Parkland College. The Lady Chargers will be home on Saturday when they host Morton College at 1 p.m. at the LifePlex in Plymouth.
