Letizia, Ricardo Named NAIA All-Americans

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Southeastern University had a pair of women’s tennis players land on the NAIA All-America lists, released today.

Freshman Beatrice Letizia was named to the second team and junior Sharienne Ricardo was named honorable mention.

This is the first time since 2015 the Fire have had a player make the All-America list.

Letizia posted a 16-2 record during the regular season playing mostly at No. 2 Singles and had a 14-5 overall doubles record, spending all but one match at No. 1 Doubles.

Ricardo posted a 14-5 overall singles record, playing all but one match at the top spot, and was also 14-5 in doubles play, pairing with Letizia in 17 matches to go 12-5 at No. 1.

The Fire finished the season 16-4, going 5-2 in Sun Conference play and appearing in The Sun Conference semifinals for the first time since 2017.
