Maryland and USC Claim Big Ten Weekly Women’s Basketball Honors

Terrapins’ Garzon and Trojans’ Davidson earn weekly awards

Player of the Week

Yarden Garzon, Maryland

Sr. – Guard – Ra’anana, Israel – Ostrovsku

  • Led the Terps with a season-high 25 points, seven rebounds and two assists versus CCSU
  • Connected on seven three-pointers
  • Helped Maryland to 39 first-quarter points, the second-highest mark in program history
  • Earns her first Big Ten Player of the Week honor
  • Last Maryland Player of the Week: Kaylene Smikle (Feb. 10, 2025)

 

Big Ten Women’s Basketball Weekly Honor Roll

Olivia Olson, MICH: Turned in 23 points on 9-for-13 shooting in Michigan’s win over Oakland

Grace Grocholski, MINN: Recorded her first double-double (18 points, 11 rebounds) of the season versus Drake

Kiki Smith, PUR: Notched a season-high 20 points on a perfect shooting day after going 5-for-5 from the floor, 3-for-3 from beyond the arc and 7-for-7 at the charity stripe
