Hammond Morton (8-15) vs. Hammond Central (23-1): The No. 3 Wolves cruised to an 82-28 win over Hammond Morton on January 13. Willie Collins accounted for 16 points in the Governors’ 93-47 loss to Crown Point. Jordan Woods tallied 23 points in Hammond Central’s 62-54 win over Gary West. Matt’s pick: Hammond Central 86, Hammond Morton 58.

Munster (23-2) vs. Lake Central (16-8): The Indians surprised No. 8 Munster, 47-44, on December 20. David Cundiff chipped in eight points in the Mustangs’ 61-55 win over Merrillville. Jake Smith mustered 21 points in Lake Central’s 70-55 win over East Chicago Central. Matt’s pick: Munster 42, Lake Central 39.

CLASS 4A CROWN POINT

Chesterton (18-5) vs. Crown Point (15-8): The Trojans marched past Crown Point, 41-29, on January 20. Tyler Parrish managed 23 points in Chesterton’s 64-48 win over Gary West. Jack Svetich netted 13 points in the Bulldogs’ 54-45 win over Portage. Matt’s pick: Chesterton 52, Crown Point 50.

Hobart (12-11) vs. Valparaiso (12-13): The Vikings recorded a 59-35 win over Hobart during the 2019-20 season. Anthony Hnilo finished with 15 points in the Brickies’ 55-44 win over Kankakee Valley. Caden Crowell ended with 12 points in Valparaiso’s 62-26 win over Lowell. Matt’s pick: Valparaiso 63, Hobart 46.

CLASS 4A LAPORTE

LaPorte (17-6) vs. Michigan City (17-6): The Slicers edged Michigan City, 76-73, on January 20. Tommy Samuelson registered 21 points for LaPorte in an 85-45 win against Clay. Allen Briggs contributed 18 points in the Wolves’ 70-62 win over Adams. Matt’s pick: Michigan City 67, LaPorte 64.

Riley (13-9) vs. Mishawaka (18-6): The Cavemen held on for a 62-57 win over Riley on December 9. Manny Hill racked up 20 points in the Wildcats’ 61-59 overtime win over Bowman Academy. Ace Troyer’s four points lifted Mishawaka to 61-35 win over Plymouth. Matt’s pick: Riley 53, Mishawaka 49.

CLASS 4A ELKHART

Goshen (11-11) vs. Penn (24-1): The RedHawks suffered an 80-41 defeat to No. 2 Penn on January 28. Nathan Pinarski amassed five points for Goshen in its 66-41 win against Glenn. Dylan Derda came up with 13 points in the Kingsmen’s 83-37 win over Elkhart. Matt’s pick: Penn 80, Goshen 56.

Concord (11-10) vs. Northridge (14-10): The Raiders rolled to a 47-30 win over Concord on February 10. Andrew Kavanagh mustered 10 points in the Minutemen’s 60-48 win over Glenn. Nolan Bales poured in 20 points in Northridge’s 55-51 win over Warsaw. Matt’s pick: Northridge 45, Concord 42.

CLASS 3A KNOX

Knox (13-9) vs. Culver Academy (14-8): The Redskins posted a 52-43 win over Culver Academy during the 2008-09 campaign. Owen Binkley’s nine points lifted Knox to a 47-37 win over Triton. Folabomi Fayemi chipped in 17 points in the Eagles’ 47-44 loss to Riley. Matt’s pick: Culver Academy 48, Knox 35.

Bremen (2-20) vs. Glenn (14-10): The Falcons soared to a 71-41 win over Bremen on February 17. Silas Laidig chipped in five points in the Lions’ 35-32 win over Culver. Carson Krueger scored 11 points in Glenn’s 68-55 upset over No. 10 Tippecanoe Valley. Matt’s pick: Glenn 60, Bremen 39.

Washington (16-5) vs. Marian (23-2): The No. 2 Knights crowned No. 9 Washington, 69-49, on January 27. Marcus Northern recorded 21 points in the Panthers’ 68-67 win over Fort Wayne North. Jackson Price registered 24 points in Marian’s 69-44 win over Clay. Matt’s pick: Marian 74, Washington 65.

New Prairie (9-13) vs. Saint Joseph (11-14): The Cougars dropped a 62-46 decision to Saint Joseph on January 27. Kole Staley paced New Prairie with 15 points in a 52-41 loss to Plymouth. Jayce Lee poured in 32 points in the Indians’ 76-52 win over Jimtown. Matt’s pick: Saint Joseph 69, New Prairie 53.

Lakeland (16-7) vs. West Noble (20-3): The No. 7 Chargers rolled to a 77-49 win over Lakeland on January 6. Nate Keil came up with 13 points in the Lakers’ 56-39 win over Angola. Noah Dubea’s six points guided West Noble to a 68-55 win over Garrett. Matt’s pick: West Noble 64, Lakeland 50.
