Munster (18-8) vs. East Chicago Central (21-4): The Cardinals cane away with a 60-52 win at Munster on December 8. Jermaine Coney’s 21 points lifted the Mustangs to a 50-45 win over Lake Central. Yamauree Wallace dominated with 20 points and 10 rebounds in East Chicago’s 70-55 win over Gary West. Matt’s pick: East Chicago Central 69, Munster 63.

CLASS 4A CHESTERTON

Chesterton (16-9) vs. Crown Point (18-5): The Bulldogs recorded a 59-53 win against Chesterton on January 20. Justin Sims racked up 16 points in the Trojans’ 74-38 win over Lowell. Jack Svetich paved the way with 20 points in Crown Point’s 55-51 win over Crown Point. Matt’s pick: Chesterton 54, Crown Point 52.

CLASS 4A MISHAWAKA

Mishawaka (18-7) vs. Riley (21-4): The Wildcats clawed past Mishawaka, 62-49, on December 22. Cooper Pritchett came up with six points and 13 rebounds in the Cavemen’s 41-37 win over Adams. Manny Hill recorded 22 points and 10 rebounds in Riley’s 58-50 win over Michigan City. Matt’s pick: Riley 52, Mishawaka 45.

CLASS 4A ELKHART

Warsaw (18-5) vs. Penn (18-6): The Tigers needed overtime to earn a 56-53 win at Penn on January 9. Luke Bricker registered 20 points in Warsaw’s 48-35 win over Concord. Maverick Brown’s nine points propelled the Kingsmen to a 52-43 win over Elkhart. Matt’s pick: Penn 46, Warsaw 43.

CLASS 3A CALUMET

Hanover Central (14-11) vs. Hammond Bishop Noll (19-7): The Warriors stormed past Hanover Central, 60-53, on January 5. Brad Rohde poured in 28 points in the Wildcats’ 48-46 win over River Forest. Jaedyn Reyna amassed 14 points in Bishop Noll’s 54-34 win over Griffith. Matt’s pick: Bishop Noll 66, Hanover Central 57.

CLASS 3A TIPPECANOE VALLEY

Tippecanoe Valley (16-8) vs. Glenn (12-13): The Vikings downed Glenn, 52-46, on December 9. Chase Miller chipped in seven points in the Falcons’ 45-38 win over Bremen. Riley Shepherd canned 20 points in Tippecanoe Valley’s 46-33 win over Lebanon. Matt’s pick: Glenn 47, Tippecanoe Valley 45.

CLASS 3A WASHINGTON

Saint Joseph (16-9) vs. Clay (13-10): The Colonials suffered a 65-55 loss to Saint Joseph on February 1. Jayce Lee managed 16 points in the Huskies’ 65-48 win over No. 9 Marian. Kelin Webster added 11 points in Clay’s 64-53 win over Jimtown. Matt’s pick: Saint Joseph 68, Clay 65.

CLASS 3A LAKELAND

Fairfield (18-6) vs. NorthWood (15-8): The defending state champion Panthers recorded a 36-21 win over Fairfield on December 9. Mitchell Miller scored 16 points in the Falcons’ 52-25 win over West Noble. Tyler Raasch notched 18 points in NorthWood’s 46-43 win over Lakeland. Matt’s pick: NorthWood 61, Fairfield 54.

CLASS 2A BOWMAN ACADEMY

Gary 21st Century (19-6) vs. Andrean (14-10): The Cougars racked up a 68-60 win over Andrean in last season’s sectional semifinals. Ron Mosley finished with 22 points in Gary 21st Century’s 89-39 win over Whiting. Jerry Triplett netted 19 points, including the game-winning basket in overtime, in the 59ers’ 50-48 win over Illiana Christian. Matt’s pick: Gary 21st Century 71, Andrean 61.

CLASS 2A NORTH JUDSON

North Judson (14-9) vs. Hebron (23-2): The No. 10 Hawks flew past North Judson, 54-47, on February 17. Kole Wilcox contributed 14 points in the Bluejays’ 48-33 win over LaVille. Landen Hale poured in 38 points in Hebron’s 71-65 win over South Central. Matt’s pick: Hebron 42, North Judson 40.

CLASS 2A WESTVIEW

Westview (19-5) vs. Churubusco (9-15): The Warriors posted a 58-39 over Churubusco on December 1. Luke Helmuth netted 24 points in Westview’s 67-63 win over Central Noble. The Eagles made it three wins in a row with a 57-48 decision over Eastside. Matt’s pick: Westview 62, Churubusco 49.

CLASS 2A LEWIS CASS

Wabash (19-5) vs. Lewis Cass (9-13): The Apaches managed a 57-44 win over Lewis Cass on February 1. Trevor Daughtry came up with 13 points in Wabash’s 40-22 win over Pioneer.  L.J. Hills racked up 23 points in the Kings’ 50-48 win over Winamac. Matt’s pick: Wabash 55, Lewis Cass 51.

CLASS 1A KOUTS

Demotte Christian (18-7) vs. Kouts (12-11): The Mustangs galloped past Demotte Christian, 44-34, on December 1. The Knights earned their ninth straight victory with a 63-30 triumph over Tri Township. Lucas Kleckner tallied 13 points in Kouts’ 54-50 win at Lowell. Matt’s pick: Kouts 40, Demotte Christian 39.

CLASS 1A TRITON

Marquette Catholic (10-15) vs. Westville (13-12): The Blazers roared to an 82-69 win over Westville in last year’s sectional opener. Josiah Mays had 18 points in Marquette Catholic’s 54-35 win over Oregon-Davis. Kaden Pepper recorded 20 points and 17 rebounds in the Blackhawks’ 58-56 win over No. 9 Triton. Matt’s pick: Marquette Catholic 51, Westville 50.

CLASS 1A BETHANY CHRISTIAN

Lakewood Park (7-16) vs. Elkhart Christian (15-9): The Eagles soared to a 49-34 win over Lakewood Park on December 16. Mason Jolloff’s 22 points paced the Panthers in their 65-13 win over Hamilton. Aiden Hibbard ended with 22 points in Elkhart Christian’s 59-36 win over Lakeland Christian. Matt’s pick: Elkhart Christian 56, Lakewood Park 46.

CLASS 1A CASTON

Tri-County (13-11) vs. Caston (11-13): The Cavaliers claimed a 65-58 win against Caston on January 27. Connor Ross notched nine points in Tri-County’s 65-44 loss to Benton Central. Talon Zeider racked up 18 points in the Comets’ 58-37 win over West Central. Matt’s pick: Tri-County 45, Caston 41.
