GOSHEN, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan men’s soccer needed a win and Filipe Mendonca delivered them one. The freshman from Salvador, Brazil netted two goals and one assist lifting IWU 3-2 over Goshen. This is Mendonca’s second multi-goal game this season.

SANFORD PERSPECTIVE

  • I am so proud of this team right now. Their character was rewarded tonight. They have been positive and unified when a lot of things haven’t gone our way this season. We have the advantage of now having already played a must-win game going into the conference tournament, and we need to keep riding this momentum. Tonight, we bought ourselves one more week together.

NEXT TIME ON THE PITCH

  • IWU will wait and see who they play in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals on October 31.
