Michigan and Maryland Earn Weekly Men’s Soccer Honors

Michigan’s Ragen and Maryland’s Herve named Players of the Week

 

Offensive Player of the Week

William James Herve, Maryland

MF – Fr. – Paris, France

  • Scored both Maryland goals in a 2-1 overtime win against Northwestern
  • Tallied the match tying goal in the 84th minute before scoring the golden goal in the 95th minute
  • First freshman at Maryland to score two goals in a match since 2015
  • Collects his first Offensive Player of the Week accolades
  • Last Maryland Offensive Player of the Week: Eryk Williamson (Oct. 17, 2017)

 

Defensive Player of the Week

Jackson Ragen, Michigan

D – So. – Seattle, Wash. – University Prep

  • Played the full 90 minutes in both Michigan shutouts throughout the week
  • Secured the backline tightly and only allowed two shots on net between both games
  • Earns his first career Defensive Player of the Week honor
