Michigan State and Penn State Earn Weekly Men’s Soccer Honors

Spartans’ Sierakowski and Nittany Lions’ Gallagher named Players of the Week

 

Offensive Player of the Week

Ryan Sierakowski, Michigan State

F – Sr. – McHenry, Ill. – McHenry West

  • Scored both goals for the Spartans in a 2-1 win versus Rutgers on Friday, tallying the game-winning goal in the 80th minute
  • Recorded a season-high eight shots to overcome the Scarlet Knights
  • Collects his first Offensive Player of the Week award
  • Last Michigan State Offensive Player of the Week: DeJuan Jones (Sept. 11, 2018)

  • Played all 110 minutes in the Nittany Lions’ 1-1 double overtime draw against No. 21/14 Michigan on Friday
  • Held Michigan to only one goal despite the Wolverines’ 15 shots and five shots on goal
  • Received All-Big Ten Academic honors the past three years
  • Earns his first career Defensive Player of the Week honor
