Midwest League Players of the Week announced

Three different teams across the Midwest League were honored with this week’s MSFA Players of the Week awards.

Offensive Player of the Week
Azariah Wallace, Saint Francis (Ind.)
Fr., RB, Fishers, Ind. (Hamilton Southeastern)

  • Rushed for 101 yards and two TDs in Saint Francis’ win over St. Francis (Ill.)
  • Recorded 23 carries, and one reception for 15 yards in the win
  • Earns his first career MSFA Player of the Week honor

Defensive Player of the Week
Terry Elias, Jr., Saint Xavier
Sr., LB, Monee, Ill. (Crete-Monee)

  • Led Saint Xavier with 11 tackles in the Cougars’ 21-14 win over No. 22 Olivet Nazarene
  • Finished with an interception and a half-sack in the win
  • Earns his fourth career MSFA Player of the Week award, and his second this season

Special Teams Player of the Week
Carl Bew, St. Francis (Ill.)
So., KR, Joliet, Ill. (Joliet West)

  • Recorded his third kick return touchdown against Saint Francis (Ind.)
  • Finished with 241 all-purpose yards and two total TDs on the day
  • Earns his second consecutive MSFA Player of the Week award this season, third of the year, and his fifth career MSFA Player of the Week award overall
