MU, USF earn final Midwest League Player of the Week awards

The Midwest League’s two playoff representatives pick up the final round of MSFA Player of the Week honors.

Offensive Player of the Week
Joshua Kulka, Saint Francis (Ind.)
Sr., QB, Clinton Township, Mich. (Wayne State [Mich.])

  • Threw for three TDs and 257 yards in No. 22 Saint Francis’ win over Judson
  • Completed 17 of 23 pass attempts on the day
  • Earns his third MSFA Player of the Week honor this season, and sixth of his career

Defensive Player of the Week
Darian Dixon, Marian
Fr., LB, Springfield, Ohio (Shawnee)

  • Recorded a pick-six in No. 7 Marian’s win over No. 25 Saint Xavier
  • Finished with two tackles and a sack in the win
  • Earns his first career MSFA Player of the Week award

Special Teams Player of the Week
Ashton Vogel, Marian
Fr., K/P, Indianapolis, Ind. (Decatur Central)

  • Went a perfect 7-for-7 on kicks in the No. 7 Knights’ win over No. 25 Saint Xavier
  • Converted a season-long 48 yard field goal in the win
  • Earns his second MSFA Player of the Week award this season
