No.15 Indiana Tech sweeps Bethel men’s volleyball

FORT WAYNE, Ind. — The Bethel Men’s Volleyball team (5-9, 0-7) got defeated on the road by #15 Indiana Tech (16-1, 7-1) 3-0 in Fort Wayne.

Bethel started slow in the first set, going down 10-3 to open the match. Tech didn’t yield, pushing to the set’s final and winning 25-15.

The second set started the same way for the Pilots as they found themselves down 10-4.

A small run in the middle of the set by Marcos Henrike, Andrin Broder, and Andre Parra caught them back up to a three-point deficit (15-12). Indiana Tech also pushed forward and took the second set (25-18).

The third set was 13-13, as Barreto earned a kill from McGwire Eigenrauch. Tech then took control of the set and finished the game with a 25-20 victory over the Pilots. McGwire Eigenrauch led the team with 20 assists and tacked on four digs. Arthur Barreto had 10 kills, three digs, and one assist. Andre Parra recorded nine kills, five digs, one block assist, and one solo block.

NEXT TIME OUT

Bethel will be home on March 19 at 7:00 p.m. as they take on Aquinas College.
