No.4 Indiana Wesleyan outlasts Bethel WBB 76-51

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — The Bethel Women’s Basketball team (6-16, 1-11) lost 76- 51 to #4 Indiana Wesleyan (20-2, 11-1) in Gates Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

Indiana Wesleyan capitalized off turnovers from Bethel (30) and scored 40 points, which led to their 76-51 victory.

The first quarter was an excellent battle between both Crossroads Leagues teams as BU held IWU to a 15-14 lead.

In the second quarter, IWU pulled away and maintained a steady lead for the rest of the match.

Maiah Shelton led the Pilots with 10 points and added three steals and four rebounds.

Nyla Asad and Abby Williams each had six rebounds and eight points each during the contest.

NEXT TIME OUT

The Pilots will be home on Wednesday, Feb 7th, when they take on the University of Saint Francis. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
