MARION, Ind. – No. 5 Indiana Wesleyan women’s basketball got their weekend off to a good start on Friday night as they took down Saint Francis in the semifinal round of the Crossroads League Tournament. The Wildcats dished out a season-high 28 assists on their way to a 95-76 victory over the Cougars and secure a birth in the championship game on Monday night.
- Saint Francis came out aggressive early and shot 61.5% from the field to take a 20-18 lead at the end of the 1st quarter.
- The Wildcats made 8 shots in the 2nd quarter with 7 of them being three-pointers. IWU took a 41-33 lead into the halftime locker room.
- Indiana Wesleyan used a 14-4 run to start the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 69-48 heading in to the final quarter.
- The Wildcats build their largest lead of 27 points in the 4th before closing out the 95-76 win
- 28 – IWU’s 28 assists set a new season-high.
- 17 – Indiana Wesleyan’s 17 made three-pointers mark their second-highest total of the year.
- 20 – Sadie Knee finished with 20 points, setting a new career-high.
