First Star

Peyton Jones, Penn State

G – Sr. – Langhorne, Pa. – Labor Employment Relations

• Stopped 63-of-66 shots against the second-highest scoring team in the nation entering the weekend as Penn State swept No. 7/8 Wisconsin
• Made a season-high 38 saves on Thursday night while only allowing a single goal, before stopping 25 pucks on Friday to complete the sweep
• Recorded the secondary assist on Friday’s game-winning goal, his seventh career assist
• Led the Big Ten with a weekend save percentage of .955 and a 1.50 goals-against average
• The Academic All-Big Ten honoree earns his eighth career weekly award and first since Jan. 29, 2019 (Third Star)

• Made 13 saves in the first period to keep Saturday’s game scoreless, four in the second and nine in the third, including a last-second save that would have tied the game
• Earns his sixth career weekly award and his first since Feb. 5, 2019 (Third Star)

• Led the Irish to a 1-0-1 weekend at Minnesota with a four-point effort
• Recorded an assist in Friday’s 2-2 tie before registering a trio of assists in Saturday’s 5-3 win, including a helper on teammate Charlie Raith’s game winner
• His four points and +4 rating were both conference highs over the weekend
• Earns his second career weekly award and first since Dec. 4, 2018 (Third Star)
