Notre Dame’s Jacob Modleski, a junior from Noblesville, Ind., will be playing for the United States Walker Cup team against a team from Great Britain & Ireland Saturday and Sunday at Alister MacKenzie’s par-70, 6,620-yard Cypress Point Club which opened in 1928 at Pebble Beach, Calif. Modleski is Notre Dame’s first golfer ever to play on the U.S. Walker Cup team.
The opening ceremony is Friday with competition beginning Saturday with four morning foursomes matches (alternate shot) followed by eight singles matches. Sunday’s competition will have four morning foursomes matches followed by 10 singles matches and the closing ceremony.
You can watch foursomes play on Saturday from 12:30-3:30 p.m. (EDT) on Peacock followed by the singles matches Saturday from 7-10 p.m. (EDT) on the Golf Channel. On Sunday, Peacock again will have coverage of the foursomes matches from 12:30-3:30 p.m. (EDT) with the Golf Channel covering the singles matches and closing ceremony from 7-10 p.m. (EDT).
