Oklahoma returns to No. 1 in NFCA/GoRout DI Top 25 Coaches Poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Oklahoma regained the No. 1 ranking in this week’s NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Sooners (42-5) returned to the pole position after posting a three-game sweep of then-No. 2 Texas in a key Southeastern Conference series. It marked the fourth change in the top spot over the last eight rankings.

OU, which held the top spot for two weeks (March 11 & 18), knocked off the Longhorns (42-9) three times at home to grab a 2.5 game lead over Texas A&M heading into the final weekend of the regular season. Texas dipped to the No. 4 spot, its lowest ranking of the season, after a 1-3 week, which included a 1-0 win at No. 23 Oklahoma State.

The 2025 NFCA/GoRout Division I Top 25 Coaches Poll is voted on by 31 NCAA Division I head coaches with one representing each of the NCAA’s Division I Conferences. Polls will be released Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. throughout the regular season. Records reflect games played through April 27, 2025.
