Purdue Basketball Alumni Game to Take Place Saturday, August 2

 

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Nearly 70 alums and former coaches will be in attendance this Saturday, as the Purdue men’s basketball team will hold its sixth Alumni Game at Mackey Arena, beginning at noon.

 

Admission is free to the event and parking will be first come, first served. Fans are encouraged to attend the Purdue Football Fan Day festivities prior to the Alumni Game, then head to Mackey Arena for the noon start. All Mackey Arena entrances will be in use, with doors opening at 11 a.m. ET.

 

Alums ranging from the Class of 1959 to 2024 will be in attendance, and fans will be treated to a highly-competitive game featuring past BoilerBall greats JaJuan Johnson, Robbie Hummel, Ryan Cline, P.J. Thompson, Carson Cunningham, Terone Johnson, Ryne Smith and many others.

 

Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Gene Keady will coach one squad and will be joined by his longtime assistant Bruce Weber and Jay Price. Matt Painter will coach the other team and his staff will include Dave Wood and Brock Touloukian.

 

In addition, at halftime of the Alumni Game, the 2025-26 Boilermaker team will be introduced for the first time.

 

Alumni Game

Time: Noon ET (doors open at 11 a.m. ET).

Parking: F lot north of Mackey Arena is reserved, but all other lots are open.

Ticket Info: Premium seats are still available for $15. All other seating locations are general admission.

 

  • Concession stands will be open during the course of the games and a pop-up Purdue Team Store will have limited availability of merchandise. In addition, fans will be able to scan QR codes on their phones to the Purdue NIL team store to purchase player-driven merchandise.
  • The Spurgeon Club and J Nine Club will be open to all fans. The Wooden Club will be closed.
  • T-shirts from past “T-shirt Games” will be available for FREE on the concourse level. All shirts are size XL.
