  • No. 4 Purdue improved to 16-3 overall and 5-3 in the Big Ten with an 80-60 win over Northwestern in front of 14,804 fans at Mackey Arena. It was the 35th straight sellout at Mackey Arena.
  • Purdue has now won 10 straight games against Northwestern, the third-longest active win streak against an opponent. Purdue is 78-13 all-time against Northwestern in West Lafayette and 44-6 in Mackey Arena.
  • The Boilermakers played without leading scorer Jaden Ivey due to injury (16.7 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 2.9 APG).
  • Purdue’s 80 points were its most against Northwestern since Feb. 12, 2012 – a span of 14 games.
  • The win was Matt Painter’s 371st victory at Purdue, tying Ward “Piggy” Lambert for second place on the Purdue career victories list. It moved him into fifth place on the all-time wins list by a Big Ten coach.

  • Zach Edey recorded his fifth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
  • Sasha Stefanovic tallied his fourth 20-point game of the season with 22 points, making a season-best six 3-pointers. When Stefanovic scores at least 10 points during his career, Purdue is 28-5.
  • Mason Gillis set a new career high with four assists.
  • Eric Hunter Jr., tallied 10 points with a team-best five assists. When Hunter Jr., leads the team in assists during his career, Purdue is 19-5. Hunter Jr., has scored at least 10 points in two of the last three games.
