HUNTINGTON, Ind. — The Bethel Pilots Women’s Basketball team (4-4, 1-1) faced a tough 67-59 loss against the (RV) Huntington Foresters (5-3, 1-1) in a hard-fought Crossroads League matchup on Saturday at Platt Arena.

Caroline Morris was impressive off the boards, with a team-leading 12 rebounds.

Guard Olivia Nickerson added 11 points on 4-for-7 (57%) from the floor and 3-for-4 (75%) from beyond the arc and four assists.

Isabel Scales led the offense with a perfect 5-for-5 shooting with five rebounds and two steals.

The Pilots allowed 21 points off turnovers with Huntington taking advantage of 30 points in the paint.

The game began with Bethel’s dominance, with Bethel leading 23-12 after the first quarter.

Bethel maintained its lead into halftime, 41-27, but Huntington mounted a comeback in the third quarter, outscoring the Pilots 19-10.

The final quarter proved decisive. Bethel struggled to find its rhythm, scoring only eight points as Huntington surged with 21. Poor shooting efficiency (23% from the field) in the fourth quarter and foul trouble obstructed Bethel’s ability to respond.

Bethel will look to rebound in their next matchup on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 6:00 PM, when they travel to face Indiana University Columbus in Columbus, IN.
