St. Ambrose, Olivet Nazarene Top Men’s Golf Postseason Honor Roll

CHICAGO — For the second year in a row, St. Ambrose University and Olivet Nazarene University both tied for the most postseason awards when the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its men’s golf honor roll for 2025 on Friday morning.  Each school brought home five awards.

St. Ambrose, the 2025 league champion, also garnered the top spot for the most first-team all-conference recipients with three of the five selections and the most overall picks (five) between the two teams.  Olivet Nazarene gained the most second-team picks with four of the seven.  The latter also gained one of the top three individual awards as did Holy Cross College and Saint Xavier University.

Holy Cross was the only other school to collect multiple awards (two), with Saint Xavier, Trinity Christian College and Viterbo University each having one honoree.

Holy Cross’ Jacob Palmer (Granger, Ind.) made quite the first impression on the college scene.  The freshman turned in the lowest overall average (74.8) amongst all league players to claim CCAC Player of the Year honors.  He also recorded six Top 5 finishes during the year.

Joining Palmer on the first team were the trio of Fighting Bees from St. Ambrose, Dylan McAleer (DeWitt, Iowa), Colin Riggs (Ankeny, Iowa) and Carsen Theis (Grimes, Iowa), as well as Ricardo Serpa (Amadora, Portugal) from Trinity Christian.  Serpa was named to the squad for the third time in as many collegiate seasons.

Capturing CCAC Freshman of the Year accolades was Saint Xavier’s Lincoln Chizmark (Joliet, Ill.).  He averaged an 81.3 over his 20 rounds played this past season with his best finish being a third-place effort in the season-opening Augustana College Highland Championship.

That tournament is where Chizmark also recorded the best two rounds of his initial collegiate campaign, shooting a 66 and a 75 over two days.  He provided four other sub-80 rounds during the course of the year.

Recognized as the CCAC Coach of the Year for the second straight season was Olivet Nazarene’s Brent Wright.
