TAYLOR VOLLEYBALL BECOMES SECOND NAIA PROGRAM TO REACH 1,300 WINS

GOSHEN, Ind. – The Taylor University volleyball team dominated Friday’s match at Goshen, notching a seventh-straight sweep of the Maple Leafs to reach 1,300 all-time victories and become the second NAIA volleyball program to reach that milestone.

Taylor had no trouble with Goshen (3-26, 0-14 CL), breezing to a 25-12, 25-15, 25-14 win and hitting. 398 in the contest. TU posted 47 kills in the match, compared to just 16 for the hosts.

Grace Isaacs led the charge with 12 kills in 17 swings for a .588 percentage and added three blocks. Ryan Czerniak had nine kills and just one error and Amanda Adams tallied eight terminations.

Kacy Bragg ended with 37 assists and three blocks, Stephaney Fifield had 18 digs and Chloe Holtz recorded a pair of service aces.

No. 18 Taylor (24-4, 12-2 CL) will face a quick turnaround for its next match, with a 3:00 pm start at Spring Arbor (11-16, 4-10 CL) awaiting the Trojans on Saturday.
