ON THE LOOSE (Top running performances)

Merrillville’s JQ Johnson recorded 24 carries for 202 yards with a score in the Pirates’ 31-14 loss to Warsaw.

Kole Wilcox of North Judson totaled 21 rushes for 193 yards with three scores and returned a fumble 40 yards for another tally in the Bluejays’ 46-0 win over South Adams.

Bloomington South’s Braylen Townsend managed 33 carries for 189 yards with a touchdown in the Panthers’ 27-13 loss to Decatur Central.

Daryea Williams of Fort Wayne Bishop Luers accounted for 183 yards and three touchdowns on 27 attempts in the Knights’ 28-14 win over Garrett.

East Noble’s Dylan Krehl ran 24 times for 153 yards with a score in the Knights’ 18-13 win at Mishawaka.

Ty Benson of South Putnam had 26 carries for 153 yards with a touchdown in the Eagles’ 35-30 loss to Providence.

Deacon King of Westfield scampered 28 times for 145 yards with a score in the Shamrocks’ 30-7 win over Crown Point.

Brownsburg’s Shakovon Sumpterbey ran 14 times for 125 yards in the Bulldogs’ 31-27 win over Center Grove.

Carter Jacobia of New Palestine raced 12 times for 117 yards with three touchdowns in the Dragons’ 43-7 win over Martinsville.

Mishawaka’s Kadyn O’Neal ended with 27 carries for 114 yards for the Cavemen against East Noble.

New Palestine’s Josh Ranes had 19 carries for 109 yards with a score against Martinsville.

PASSING GRADES (Top quarterback performances)

Linton-Stockton’s Braylen McBride was 14-of-27 for 286 yards with two touchdowns in the Miners’ 40-28 win over Indianapolis Lutheran.

Heritage Hills’ Jett Goldsberry went 9-of-9 for 229 yards with three touchdowns and ran eight times for 81 yards and two scores in the Patriots’ 42-0 win over Batesville.

Wyatt Mullin of South Putnam was 17-of-31 for 210 yards with a touchdown and carried the ball 11 times for 100 yards against Providence.

Bo Polston of Decatur Central completed 17-of-29 for 188 yards with a score for the Hawks against Bloomington South.

Martinsville’s A.J. Reynolds went 16-of-34 for 186 yards with a touchdown for the Artesians against New Palestine.

Drew Sullivan of Warsaw had 33 carries for 168 yards with two touchdowns for the Tigers against Merrillville.

Providence’s Preston Kempf scampered 19 times for 150 yards with three scores and completed 3-of-8 for 31 yards with a touchdown for the Pioneers against South Putnam.

Duncan Combs of Bloomington South was 9-of-24 for 149 yards against Decatur Central.

Westfield’s Carsen Melvin went 12-of-16 for 138 yards with a score and ran 11 times for 34 yards with a touchdown against Crown Point.

New Palestine’s Jacob Davis completed 7-of-11 for 129 yards with a touchdown and carried the ball nine times for 55 yards against Martinsville.

Oscar Frye of Brownsburg was 11-of-16 for 126 yards with a touchdown and ran seven times for 19 yards against Center Grove.

WHAT A CATCH (Top receiving performances)

Linton-Stockton’s Paul Oliver had six catches for 157 yards with a score and ran 18 times for 98 yards with three touchdowns against Lutheran.

Hunter Meredith of Heritage Hills tallied two receptions for 113 yards with a touchdown and 10 tackles against Batesville.

Center Grove’s Tristan Baxter caught three passes for 111 yards with two touchdowns against Brownsburg,

Mason Dodson of Martinsville hauled in nine receptions for 110 yards with a score against New Palestine.

South Putnam’s Bransyn Ensor recorded eight catches for 102 yards with a touchdown against Providence.

SPECIAL PERFORMERS (Top overall offensive, defensive, and special teams’ performances)

In addition to running eight times for 42 yards and catching three passes for 27 yards, Fa’Rel Carter of Decatur Central returned a kickoff 95 yards for a touchdown and an interception 35 yards for another tally against Bloomington South.

Westfield’s Cato June came up with a pair of interceptions against Crown Point.

Cohen Heady of Warsaw returned one of his two interceptions 25 yards for a touchdown and recovered a fumble against Merrillville.

Along with completing 3-of-7 passes for 26 yards with a touchdown, Garrett’s Calder Hefty also had a 97-yard interception return for a score and nine tackles for the Railroaders against Bishop Luers.

Hayden Feltner of Linton-Stockton caught five passes for 109 yards and registered five tackles and an interception against Lutheran.
