ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – In its second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference match of the season, the Indiana University South Bend volleyball team defeated Robert Morris by a score of 3-0, winning its third-straight match. With the victory, the Titans are now 4-5 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

IU South Bend came out strong in Tuesday evenings conference match and never looked back to defeat its opponent in three straight sets for the second time this season (25-16, 25-15, 25-13). The Titans now hold a 6-2 advantage in the head-to-head matchup with the Eagles.

Junior transfer Hannah Marchand led IUSB in total kills as she connected on a game-high 13 kills to go along with five digs, two blocks and two aces. The Jacksonville transfer attacked at an impressive .417 hitting percentage off 24 attempts in three sets.

CCAC Setter of the Week McKenzie Powell led in the assist category as the sophomore dished out a game-high 26 assists. Senior Samantha Hockstra followed behind with 13 digs and served up one ace.

As a team, IUSB held the advantage in every category while attacking at a .381 pace and holding the Eagles just a 0.43 attacking percentage. The highest attacking rate for the Crimson & Cream occurred in the third and final set with a .542 percentage. The Titans added 42 kills, 35 assists, four aces and 7.5 blocks on the night.

​IU South Bend remains on the road and travels to Governors State on Thursday, Sept. 12. First service for the CCAC match is set for 8 p.m. The Titans return home on Saturday, Sept. 14, welcoming IU Northwest inside the Student Activities Center at 3 p.m.
