TIU’s Vujosevic, CSU’s Marks, SXU’s Ritter Collect Weekly Women’s Volleyball Honors

CHICAGO — Saint Xavier University’s Kaleigh Ritter (Tinley Park, Ill.) claimed her fourth Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Setter of the Week award, while Cardinal Stritch University’s Alivia Marks (Hartford, Wis.) and Trinity International University’s Lana Vujosevic (Bar, Montenegro) were recognized for the first time when the league office announced its women’s volleyball players of the week.

Vujosevic collected CCAC Attacker of the Week honors after averaging 4.40 kills per set with a .245 attack percentage. The senior outside hitter also produced 2.50 digs per set in her three matches played.

Trinity International went 2-1 on the week and currently sits at 17-5 overall and 7-2 in league play, which places the Trojans second in the conference.

Marks, meanwhile, averaged better than 1.5 blocks per set in a pair of league victories to capture CCAC Defender of the Week accolades. The senior middle hitter finished the seven-day period with a 1.57 block average to go along with her 3.14 kills per set.

Marks totaled seven blocks and seven kills in a four-set win over Olivet Nazarene University on Tuesday before supplying four blocks and 15 kills in a sweep of Indiana University Northwest on Thursday.
