Trojans Notch Maximum of Eight CSC Academic All-District Awards

UPLAND, Ind. – The Taylor football team took home the maximum number of College Sports Communicators NAIA Academic All-District honors recently, once again placing eight student-athletes on the list. TU was one-of-14 teams from the NAIA to have the maximum of eight individuals claim the honor, doing so for the fourth-straight time since the maximum limit was instituted in 2022.

The CSC Academic All-District distinction is designed to recognize student-athletes for outstanding achievements in the classroom and on the field. To receive the honor, an athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale, must have reached sophomore status academically, and must have played in 90-percent or started at least 66-percent of the team’s games that season.

Each university is limited to eight individuals for the award and student-athletes are nominated for the honor by their own Sports Information Department.

Alex Boothby, Treyton Keele, Reid Messer, Nathan Munson, Justin Schroeder, Grady Stanley, David Worlds and Aidan Zimmer represented Taylor on the prestigious list.

The award marks the first such honor for Boothby, Keele, Munson, Schroeder, Stanley and Zimmer, while Worlds and Messer repeated their 2024-2025 CSC Academic All-District selection, with Messer also being named a First-Team CSC Academic All-American one year ago.

Boothby boasts a cumulative grade-point average of 3.57 in marketing and management. The sophomore left guard started 10 games for TU, helping the Trojans to 304.9 rushing yards per game and earning First-Team All-MSFA recognition.

Keele possesses a 3.62 GPA in marketing and management. The sophomore right tackle played to All-MSFA honors in 2025 by starting 10 games and helping the Purple and Gray rank second in the NAIA in rushing yards per game.

Messer owns a 3.86 GPA in accounting as a repeat Academic All-District standout. The junior safety earned his second All-MSFA nod after posting 51 tackles, one interception and five passes defended in the Trojan secondary.

Munson boasts a 3.52 grade-point average in data science. The second-year tight end earned his second All-MSFA award in the fall, ranking seventh in the MSFA with five receiving touchdowns and leading Taylor with 26.0 yards per catch.

Schroeder possesses a 3.86 GPA in accounting and started all 11 games for the Trojans from his defensive tackle position. The junior set career-highs in 2025 with 28 tackles from TU’s defensive front line.

Stanley owns a 3.80 grade-point average in political science, philosophy and economics. The sophomore linebacker earned All-MSFA honors after ranking 11th in the league with 54 tackles to go with seven hits for a loss and three interceptions.

Worlds holds a cumulative GPA of 3.89 in sport management. The junior cornerback started all 11 games for Taylor, ranking second on the squad with nine passes defended and sixth with 43 tackles during the 2025 campaign.

Zimmer boasts a 3.94 grade-point average in accounting with the Trojans. The junior wide receiver garnered All-MSFA attention in the fall after ranking second on TU with 25 catches and 47.6 receiving yards per outing during his breakout season.

Boothby, Keele, Messer, Munson, Schroeder, Stanley, Worlds and Zimmer will all advance to the ballot for CSC Academic All-American honors, which will be voted on by members of the CSC, before being announced on January 27.

Those eight student-athletes helped RV Taylor to a 7-4 record in 2025, as the Trojans completed back-to-back winning seasons for the first time since 2009 and 2010. TU’s 16 total wins during the 2024 and 2025 seasons mark the program’s second-best, two-year win total and its best since the 1998 and 1999 seasons.
