TU EARNS PAIR OF PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS

With victories over Madonna and Concordia, the Saints and Trojans pick up the MSFA Mideast League Player of the Week honors for Week 8.

Offensive Player of the Week
Kaleb Jefferson, Siena Heights
Sr., RB, Bluffton, Ohio (Bluffton HS)
• Rushed 22 times for 161 yards in the Saints’ 45-26 win over Madonna
• Scored three rushing TDs in the win for SHU
• Earns his first MSFA Offensive Player of the Week award this season, and his second career honor
Defensive Player of the Week
Jacob Hockett, Taylor
Sr., LB, New Palestine, Ind. (New Palestine HS)
• Finished with 11 solo tackles and 20 tackles overall in Taylor’s 24-21 win over Concordia
• Had one sack and a forced fumble in the win
• Earns his first career MSFA Defensive Player of the Week award
Special Teams Player of the Week
Zane Shilts, Taylor
Sr., K/P, Marion, Ind. (Eastbrook HS)
• Scored six points in the Trojans’ 24-21 win over Concordia
• Was a perfect 3-for-3 on extra points and converted his lone field goal attempt on the day
• Earns his second MSFA Special Teams Player of the Week honor this season, and the third of his career
