U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Class of 2024 Formally Enshrined

PITTSBURGH – Matt Cullen (Moorhead, Minn.), Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.), Frederic McLaughlin (Chicago, Ill.), Kevin Stevens (Pembroke, Mass.), and the 2002 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team were formally enshrined as the Class of 2024 into the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame here tonight before a capacity crowd at the Omni William Penn Hotel.
Sam Rosen was also honored with the Lester Patrick Trophy, presented annually by the NHL to an individual for outstanding service to hockey in the United States.
Honorees from the 2002 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team include players Patrick Byrne (Chicago, Ill.), Dave Conklin (La Crosse, Wis.), Matt Coppens (Richton Park, Ill.), James Dunham (Garland, Texas), Sylvester Flis (Franklin Park, Ill.), Manny Guerra (Plymouth, Minn.), Lonnie Hannah (Mansfield, Texas), Dan Henderson (Chicago, Ill.), Joe Howard (Brockton, Mass.), Chris Manns (Buffalo, N.Y.), Brian Ruhe (Chicago, Ill.), Jack Sanders (Pekin, Ill.), Pat Sapp (Mesquite, Texas), Kip St. Germaine (East Falmouth, Mass.) and Josh Wirt (Homer City, Pa.), along with head coach Rick Middleton (Hampton, N.H.), assistant coach Tom Moulton (Hampton, N.H.), equipment manager Jeffrey Uyeno (Glenview, Ill.), athletic trainer Jim Olson (Anoka,Minn.) and team leader Rich DeGlopper (Buffalo, N.Y.).
“The broad range of accomplishment and contribution to our sport that was reflected tonight through the honorees was truly inspirational and such a positive representation of our great game,” said Mike Trimboli, president of USA Hockey. “This night is always one of the very best each year and our sincere congratulations to the Class of 2024 as well as to Sam Rosen.”
