Washington Claims 2025 Big Ten Women’s Soccer Championship

Huskies top Badgers, 1-0, en route to first Big Ten regular-season title

ROSEMONE, Ill. — The University of Washington women’s soccer team clinched the 2025 Big Ten Women’s Soccer Championship outright Sunday with a 1-0 win over No. 15 Wisconsin at Husky Soccer Stadium in Seattle, Wash. The No. 17 Huskies earned their first Big Ten women’s soccer title in school history on a penalty kick by Alex Buck in the 52nd minute.

Washington will be the No. 1 seed in the 2025 Big Ten Women’s Soccer Tournament presented by Allstate, which begins Thursday, Oct. 30. The 10-team, single-elimination tournament starts with a pair of opening round matches, followed by quarterfinal matchups on Saturday and Sunday, hosted by Purdue University. This year’s semifinals and championship match will be played at Energizer Park in St. Louis on Nov. 6 and 9.

The Huskies extended their unbeaten streak to open conference action to 10 matches, the longest stretch in program history. Washington is headed into the final weekend of the regular season with an 8-0-2 mark in conference matches. The Huskies are the lone remaining undefeated team in Big Ten play and will face Oregon on Sunday, Oct. 26 as they look to close things out with an unblemished record.

The Big Ten Tournament bracket, including kickoff times and television coverage, will be released Sunday following the completion of all regular-season matches.
