KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pair of hat tricks earned Southeastern University sophomore forward Uchenna Kanu some national recognition.

The Abia, Nigeria native became the first player in program history to be named NAIA National Player of the Week.

Kanu was selected Offensive Player of the Week from a pool of conference nominees. Last week, she recorded four goals in a win over SCAD Savannah, and added three more in a win over USCB. Kanu currently ranks second in the NAIA in points with 64, and is third nationally in goals with 28.
