The Centier Bank Performers of the Week are Kouts sophomore basketball players Cale Wireman and Cole Wireman and Mishawaka Marian junior basketball player Jaden Ivey.
In Friday’s 68-58 victory over defending Class 1A sectional champion Covenant Christian (DeMotte), the 5-foot-9 Cale tallied 19 points, while the 5-foot-10 Cole added 14 points. Then in Saturday’s 69-47 triumph over Kankakee Valley, Cale had 13 points with two rebounds, two assists, and one steal, while Cole paved the way for the Mustangs (4-0) with 20 points, two rebounds, three assists, and four steals.
In Saturday’s 74-44 victory over Fort Wayne Bishop Luers, the 6-foot-2 Ivey poured in 26 points on 8-of-12 shooting, including 6-of-9 from 3-point range, for the No. 4 (Class 3A) Knights (1-0).
The Centier Bank Performer of the Week is open to any male-female student athlete who participates in any IHSAA sanctioned sport and whose school is in the Centier Bank geographic area.
